The very first Olympic Games to include Judo as a contest sport was the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. 

Three out of the four man team were from the Budokwai - Syd Hoare, Brian Jacks and Tony Sweeney all competed at the Budokan hall which is within the Imperial Palace Moat in Tokyo.
